New General Practitioners at Church Street

With the departure of Dr Amess in August and Dr Knott-Craig retiring in December, we will have two new GPs joining us here at Church Street:

Dr Helen Ray went to Leicester Medical School and graduated in 1995 with Honours. Since then she has worked in Worcestershire as a GP and has special interests in women’s health, rheumatology and joint injections. Dr Helen Ray has two children; a daughter who is finishing her 3rd year at Cardiff Medical School and a son who has joined the army.

Dr Chris Renfrew started his GP life in Tewkesbury at Church Street in the late 1980’s, having qualified in London and completed a broad spectrum of hospital training positions there. Since then he has worked in many practices around the country and has also been involved in the management of medical businesses. He has specialised in Occupational Health over the past few years as well having a keen interest in the development of UK primary care as it is currently undergoing much change. He lives with his partner and has two children who are now at university. Having recently completed his corporate activities, he is coming back to Church Street to work as a nearly full-time GP with some friendly faces from the past.
